VormenFabriek manufactures production moulds for both chocolate and confectionery. We use three methods to make the moulds: injection moulding, thermoforming and vulcanisation.
The exact materials and colour we choose depend on the application. Did you know we use four different materials?
With injection moulding machines We use injection moulding machines for production. These machines mould the plastic granules under pressure and heat. Injection moulding machines work on the basis of a tried and tested technique for the production of perfect moulds. Our continuous investments in injection moulding machines guarantee an increasingly better and more efficient production process.
Four different materials We are the only company in the market to work with four different types of material, each of which naturally meets the food safety requirements.
For chocolate, you can choose from three types of material:
- Standard confectionery grade polycarbonate (Makrolon2856) has been the standard in the industry for years. Reliable quality, so you know exactly what you can expect.
- Impact-Modified Polycarbonate (Vofalon, our unique mix of different types of polycarbonate) is stronger than standard polycarbonate. It has a high impact strength (hammering and line issues) and resists the effects of the washing process better. In short, it has a higher return on investment.
- Vofasil (unique Vormenfabriek recipe) is a copolymer of polycarbonate and siloxane. It offers improved demoulding of the chocolate.
For confectionery, we produce silicone moulds.
- Silicone rubber moulds are used in the production of caramel, toffee, fondant and other confectionery products. The moulds are so flexible that the products demould very easily. Thanks to new developments, products that used to be made in starchless moulds can now be made using silicone rubber moulds.
